Scheduling and Consultations
How do I book a session?
That's easy! Simply call (512) 210-6571 or send an email to email@example.com, and let us know which dates work for you. Nicole’s schedule tends to fill up quickly, so the sooner you get a hold of us the more likely your preferred date will be available. A 25% non-refundable security deposit locks in your date!
How far in advance should I schedule my session?
Three to four weeks is ideal, unless you are in need of a payment plan (see below). In that case, you’ll likely want to schedule earlier.
Do you offer consultations?
Yes! We offer one 30 to 60-minute consultation to new customers free of charge. Call or email us to set up a time that works for you.
What can I expect from the consultation?
For your free consultation, Nicole will come to your home to meet you and discuss your needs. She’ll go over the types of sessions we offer and our products, and she’ll answer any questions you might have. This 30-60 minute meeting is the perfect time to determine details regarding shooting location and types of photos you want.
Payments and Cancellations
How do payments work?
We use Square Register and accept all major credit cards. Your 25% non-refundable deposit is due upon booking in order to secure your session date. The remaining 75% is due no later than two weeks before your session.
Do you offer payment plans?
We do! We understand that photographs are an investment and paying in one lump sum isn't always practical. That’s why we offer payment plans for both our sessions and our print orders. Weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payment plans are available, though all session and print order payment plans must be paid in full two weeks before your session date and/or before your print order can be submitted to our lab.
What happens if someone gets sick?
We all get sick from time to time, especially those of us with small children! If you or a family member involved in the session gets sick, we can reschedule for another date. We’ll also reschedule for another date if Nicole falls ill.
What happens if it rains?
Day-in-the-Life sessions are documentary sessions and take place rain or shine. If you’ve booked an outdoor Lifestyle session, we can either move the session indoors or reschedule for another date.
Session Details and Logistics
Where will our session take place?
Location depends upon type of session purchased. A Day-in-the-Life session typically starts at home. Nicole then follows you and your family throughout your daily routine. Lifestyle sessions depend on the location that best tells your story. Many families choose their home or garden, but you may prefer a favorite park, out by the water, or at another iconic location that suits your story better. Whatever your preference, we’ll find the best location for you during your complimentary consultation.
What should we wear to our session?
Causal clothes in solid colors are always best. (Try to avoid busy patterns and stripes!) They are easier to move in, and you’ll feel more relaxed for your session. Nicole may ask you to sit on the floor or ground, or bend your legs, so make sure your clothes are comfortable to do so. If you’ve booked a Day-in-the-Life session, consider letting your children dress themselves or each other – whatever they normally do. If you are unsure about what would be best for your setting, please do not hesitate to reach out and connect with us. We also have a Wardrobe board on Pinterest for color schemes.
What kinds of products do you offer?
We offer several product options, including albums, matted prints, and custom wall galleries that can include wall décor or personal trinkets. All products and wall gallery ideas are discussed in detail at your complimentary consultation.
How soon will I be able to view my photos?
We will schedule your Reveal & Ordering Session at the end of your photography session. Please allow up to three weeks for post-production. This is so Nicole may edit and retouch your images with the detailed attention they deserve. Most of the time, though, this viewing session depends more on schedules (yours and Nicole’s) than on when your photos are ready.
Do I have control over what images you share?
Of course! No matter what session Nicole is photographing, she will always make sure that you have a say in whether or not and what she posts to social media or her blog.
I have a question for you that isn’t answered here. What should I do?
Give us a ring or shoot us an email, and we’ll get you taken care of ASAP.
